Join the team at East 51 at Rockets Landing in Richmond, VA as an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor and help ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of our apartment community. Support the Maintenance Supervisor in daily operations, stepping in as acting supervisor when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and appliance repair.
  • Inspect units, grounds, and common areas regularly to ensure safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
  • Manage preventive maintenance, work orders, and make-ready schedules to meet PRG standards.
  • Support resident satisfaction by responding quickly to service requests and emergencies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory while ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Assist with training and supervising maintenance staff; serve as acting Maintenance Supervisor in their absence.
  • Coordinate with the Property Manager on budgeting, purchasing, and contractor/vendor management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience; multifamily housing experience preferred.
  • CPO and HVAC certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, inventory control, and record-keeping.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently (and up to 100 lbs. occasionally).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; valid driver's license required.
