Responsibilities
The Division of Undergraduate Studies (UGS) at Florida State University is inviting applications for an Assistant in Research position. We are looking for candidates with expertise in postsecondary student success and educational research. In this role, the candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of UGS by conducting research on student success in postsecondary education. The candidate will support the evaluation of the effectiveness of student success initiatives (SSIs) at FSU.
The responsibilities of the candidate will include working with FSU's Center for Postsecondary Success and the Collaborative Lab for the Advancement of Student Success to develop an inventory of SSIs at FSU and to study the impacts and implementation of a selected number of SSIs, such as the FSU Learning Assistants Program, AI in Teaching, and various programs throughout the university. Tasks include performing literature reviews; managing and preparing large-scale administrative databases for analysis; collaborating with faculty and practitioners on editing and reviewing manuscripts, reports, policy briefs, book proposals, and other publications; and presenting research findings in national and/or state conferences, as well as other settings, as needed.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Higher Education or a closely related field (public policy, sociology, economics, political science, etc.).
