InGenesis is currently seeking an Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) to work with our potential client. In this role, you will support one of the healthcare facilities within the ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC). These facilities provide medical care to detainees in Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) custody.

This position is dependent on contract award.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate site visits and oversee vendor staff.
  • Check medical equipment and supplies.
  • Process invoices and submit reports on time.
  • Document translation services in medical records.
  • Supervise employees and approve staffing schedules.
  • Collaborate on complex issues with health administrators.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Assist with budget management, manage local purchases, and provide monthly reports.
  • Monitor operational issues and on-site contracts.
  • Review employee files for compliance.
  • Review lab, radiology, and pharmaceutical documentation.
  • Prepare for assessments and accreditations.
  • Implement local programs.
  • Monitor incidents and potential litigation.
  • Maintain personnel files.
  • Ensure program activities are monitored.
  • Review staff training.
  • Inform ICE officials of detainee issues.
  • Maintain relationships with officials and agencies.
  • Develop staffing plans.
  • Follow the chain of command.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
  • If holding a clinical license, maintain current status and fulfill obligations of the licensing or certifying body.
  • Maintain clinical professional skills via continuing education opportunities.
  • Obtain level II Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Maintain basic readiness status.
  • Maintain current CPR/BLS certification.

Physical Demands:

  • This position is considered hazardous duty in a detention setting.
  • Requires physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self).
  • The work may necessitate some physical characteristics that will be required when responding to an emergency situation, such as running short distance, prolonged standing and working in an austere environment.
  • Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
