Position Title: Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach

Job Classification: Seasonal Employee

Reports to: Athletic Director

Summary:

Milwaukee Lutheran Middle and High school is seeking a motivated and dedicated Assistant Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach to support the development of our student-athletes both on and off the court. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, effective communication skills, and a commitment to fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

Milwaukee Lutheran Middle & High School is seeking an Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach for the 2026 Fall season. Essential Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game strategies

Provide instruction in fundamental skills, advanced techniques, and positional play

Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events

Promote academic success, character development, and positive team culture

Support strength and conditioning programs as appropriate

Assist with scouting, film breakdown, and game preparation

Ensure compliance with school, district, and league policies

Communicate effectively with players, parents, and athletic staff

Qualifications:

Previous volleyball coaching or competitive playing experience preferred

Knowledge of current volleyball rules, techniques, and training methods

Ability to motivate and mentor high school-aged student-athletes

Strong organizational and communication skills

Availability for after-school practices and games

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Must meet all district/state coaching requirements and background checks

Preferred Qualifications

Prior high school or club coaching experience

Experience with Hudl or other video analysis software
