Barstool Nashville is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. This role is primarily focused on nightlife operations, weekend execution, team leadership, guest experience, and revenue-driving initiatives.
The ideal candidate understands the pace and expectations of a high-volume bar, nightlife, and entertainment environment. This person should be comfortable leading late-night shifts, managing a large team, solving problems in real time, and helping drive the energy of the room.
The Assistant General Manager will help oversee daily and nightly operations, with a primary focus on nights and weekends. Responsibilities include:
Leading floor operations during high-volume night and weekend shifts
Supporting the GM and management team with staffing, training, and accountability
Ensuring strong guest service, hospitality, and overall venue energy
Managing bartenders, barbacks, security, hosts, and support staff during service
Helping execute private events, nightlife programming, sports watch parties, and special events
Monitoring labor, sales, comps, voids, cash handling, and shift reports
Maintaining cleanliness, organization, safety, and operational standards
Assisting with scheduling, team communication, and manager follow-up
Identifying opportunities to drive revenue, improve service, and increase guest retention
Acting as a strong leadership presence during peak business hours
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in high-volume bars, restaurants, nightlife, or entertainment venues
Available and willing to work primarily nights, weekends, holidays, and major event days
A strong communicator who can lead a team with confidence and professionalism
Comfortable making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
Guest-focused, hospitality-driven, and able to create a fun, controlled atmosphere
Organized, proactive, and accountable
Able to balance service, sales, safety, and team morale
Familiar with nightlife operations, VIP service, events, or sports-bar environments

Previous management experience in hospitality, nightlife, bar, restaurant, or event operations
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work late nights and weekends consistently
Experience with high-volume service is preferred
Must be dependable, professional, and solution-oriented
Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling platforms, inventory systems, or reservation/event platforms is a plus
$70,000 - $90,000 + Health Insurance + Sales Bonus Incentives
