As an Assistant General Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in the daily operations of the restaurant, helping to ensure outstanding service, operational excellence, and a positive team culture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with restaurant leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager with overseeing daily restaurant operations
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service
- Ensure food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Support hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of staff
- Manage inventory, ordering, and labor costs
- Handle customer concerns professionally and effectively
- Open and close the restaurant as needed
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant management or leadership experience required
- Jersey Mike's experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
