Fremont, CA - We are actively hiring an experienced Assistant General Manager for a busy, high-volume, full-service restaurant in Fremont, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven hospitality professional with 2-4 years of restaurant management experience who excels in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Position Summary

As Assistant General Manager, you will play a critical leadership role supporting the General Manager in all aspects of daily restaurant operations. You will drive team performance, optimize financial results, maintain high service standards, and ensure every guest leaves happy in this high-volume, full-service environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing shifts for a high-volume full-service restaurant
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and local alcohol service regulations
  • Drive financial performance through cost control, revenue optimization, and meeting or exceeding budgeted goals
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labor costs to balance operational needs with exceptional guest service
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff
  • Deliver outstanding hospitality by resolving guest concerns quickly and professionally
  • Partner with the Executive Chef and General Manager on menu execution, food quality, and service consistency
  • Conduct performance coaching, training, and ongoing team development
  • Maintain proper inventory levels for food, beverages, supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • Step in to lead full restaurant operations in the General Manager's absence
  • Participate in management meetings and help execute company initiatives
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of progressive restaurant management experience in a full-service, high-volume environment (required)
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant P&L management, labor control, and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Passion for hospitality and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure restaurant setting
  • Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually (DOE)
