We are hiring an Assistant General Manager to serve as the operational co-captain of the JW Marriott Charlotte leadership team. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional ready to serve in a General Manager-in-training capacity, driving day-to-day hotel operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Events, and Guest Services at one of Charlotte's premier luxury hotels. What You'll Do
Serve as the General Manager's co-captain at JW Marriott Charlotte, leading day-to-day hotel operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Events, Spa, and Guest Services while ensuring exceptional execution at one of Charlotte's premier luxury hotels.
Drive results across key business metrics, including guest satisfaction, associate engagement, financial performance, operational audits, luxury brand standards, and food and beverage performance across multiple outlets.
Champion associate development by coaching leaders, strengthening operational excellence, and creating meaningful growth opportunities that support White Lodging's commitment to developing future hospitality leaders.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement by building strong relationships with associates and leaders while supporting retention and internal promotion throughout the hotel.
Lead with a continuous improvement mindset, partnering with the General Manager to execute strategic initiatives, enhance the guest experience, and prepare for future General Manager opportunities within the White Lodging portfolio.
What You'll Bring
Progressive leadership experience in Food & Beverage, Rooms Division, or Hotel Operations within a full-service or luxury hotel environment is required. Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Director of Operations, Food & Beverage Director, or comparable hotel leadership role is strongly preferred.
A demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams while creating an engaging culture focused on exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
Strong business acumen with experience managing financial results, operational priorities, quality standards, and multiple departments in a complex, high-volume luxury hotel.
Exceptional communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence leaders, inspire associates, and collaborate effectively across all hotel disciplines.
A passion for luxury hospitality and a desire to continue growing toward a General Manager role with White Lodging, one of the nation's leading hospitality management companies.
