We are seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Real Estate, based in Tysons, VA, to serve as the primary legal and risk management advisor for a portion of a diverse hotel portfolio.
- Handle legal matters related to hotel operations, including negotiations with operators, franchisors, vendors, landlords, and partners.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements such as management, development, leases, service, and corporate contracts.
- Participate in acquisition and disposition transactions, oversee disputes, and manage outside counsel and insurance claims.
- Manage joint ventures, company formations, and legal risk assessments.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of lodging industry legal experience, strong contract drafting skills, and a business-oriented approach. In-house and REIT experience is preferred.
