General Summary:
Responsible for providing coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Coach. Assist with scouting and recruitment of student-athletes. Monitors conditioning and training, as well as academic progress and eligibility status of student-athletes. Participates in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opposing teams; assists with game planning and strategy. Responsible for directing practices for wide receivers. This includes planning, scripting, and organizing offensive aspects of practice for players and coaches. Install a weekly game plan for success. Participates in public relations activities and fund raising, assists with special projects as assigned by Head Coach. Reports to Head Coach.
Responsibilities:
+ Coaching games and practices to include: team instruction and game planning during the championship segment, individual skill instruction during the non-championship segment, youth instruction in summer camps and clinics, practice preparation, scouting, and film review. Responsible for directing practices for the wide receivers. This includes planning, scripting, and organizing offensive aspects of practice for players and coaches. Install a weekly game plan for success.
+ Skill evaluation and recruitment of college-bound student-athletes
+ Monitoring and ensuring the academic progress and ongoing eligibility of currently enrolled student-athletes.
+ General administrative tasks and public relations activities as assigned by the head coach.
+ Maintains 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses.

Necessary Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two (2) years of experience coaching in field and experience as an offensive football coach.
+ Maintain a valid driver’s license and qualify to operate a vehicle within West Texas A&M University system.
+ Ability to pass NCAA Recruiting Test (DII) annually.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree
+ Prior Wide Receiver coaching experience at the collegiate level.
+ Experienced Academic performance.
+ AFCA membership
+ Proven ability in college recruiting, particularly in the State of Texas.
+ Commitment to academic success.
+ Leadership & motivational skills.
+ Knowledge of NCAA regulations.
