Assistant Food Service Director
Rate: $18-$22/hour (depending on experience)
Shift: Full-Time
Seneca Health Care Center is looking to add an Assistant Food Service Director to its team. In this role, you’ll help oversee daily dietary operations while supporting high-quality meal service, food safety, and resident satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the daily operations of the Dietary Department, including meal service, food production, and staff supervision
- Support scheduling, training, and mentoring of dietary team members
- Help ensure compliance with food safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
- Monitor food quality, resident satisfaction, and departmental performance
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet resident dietary needs and preferences
- Support departmental documentation, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent; Culinary School graduate preferred
- Minimum experience requirement: 1 year working in a dietary position; 6 months of supervisory experience preferred
- Food Safety Certification required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food service operations and food safety practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and resident-centered care
