Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Food Service Director to support daily kitchen operations and team leadership. This role requires prior experience in food service management, strong customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and have hands-on experience with cooking and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Food Service Director (FSD) in leading and supervising the team
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering food and supplies, and administrative tasks
  • Help oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation and service
  • Ensure food is presented in an attractive and appetizing manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
  • Follow all safety and health regulations
  • Foster a team-oriented work environment
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior management experience in the food service industry required
  • Cooking experience and knowledge of kitchen operations required
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Food Manager Certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
