Job Title: Food and Beverage Assistant Manager- In Room Dining

We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Assistant Manager- In Room Dining to support the day-to-day operations of the dining outlets at a luxury resort in Salt Lake City. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting F&B operations in upscale or luxury hotels, with a proven track record in delivering exceptional guest service and managing financial performance. This role involves supervising the F&B team, supporting financial management through budget oversight, and ensuring smooth operations. The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure that service standards are met while enhancing the guest experience and optimizing revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily operations: Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all F&B outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient service in all dining areas.
  • Team supervision: Lead, train, and motivate F&B staff, maintaining high service standards and fostering a positive working environment.
  • Guest service management: Respond promptly to guest feedback, handling complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction always.
  • Menu collaboration: Work with the culinary team to provide input on menu development and execution, ensuring quality and variety.
  • Health and safety compliance: Ensure that all health, safety, and sanitation regulations are strictly followed, including adherence to local liquor laws and hotel SOPs.
  • Inventory oversight: Monitor stock levels, manage ordering, and control costs to ensure optimal inventory management across all outlets.
  • Training and development: Provide ongoing staff training on service standards, procedures, and safety protocols to improve performance continuously.
  • Guest interaction: Regularly circulate on the floor, engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, and address any service issues promptly.
  • Operational support: Assist with pre-shift meetings, staffing schedules, and coordinating staff duties to optimize service delivery.
  • Reporting: Support in preparing operational and financial reports for management, detailing key performance metrics.
  • Service excellence: Participate in monitoring and supervising dining areas, ensuring they meet or exceed luxury hotel standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in F&B management in high-quality, high-volume establishments, ideally in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, health and sanitation regulations, and liquor laws.
  • Proven experience in cost control, labor management, and inventory oversight to support profitability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with hotel management software.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to train and manage F&B staff.
  • A passion for guest service, with a focus on exceeding guest expectations and delivering memorable experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures, as well as safety standards.

  • Relocation bonus of $2,500 to cover: TN Visa sponsorship for qualified candidates from Mexico and Canada.
  • General: Competitive salary: $65,000 USD annually. 5% bonus based on performance.
