    Description

    This Assistant Front of House (FOH) Manager position focuses on operational leadership, guest services, and team development. Responsibilities include managing daily shifts (open and/or close), mentoring staff, enforcing food safety, and handling cash procedures, alongside delegating tasks and communicating with upper management to ensure smooth, efficient restaurant operations.


    Key Responsibilities

    •   Shift Management & Operations: Oversee daily FOH operations, including opening and/or closing the restaurant, running breaks, managing transitions, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations.

    •   Team Leadership & Training: Train, mentor, and schedule team members, providing in-the-moment feedback, coaching, and assigning daily and/or weekly cleaning tasks.

    •   Guest Experience & Communication: Resolve guest questions and complaints professionally, act as the Manager on Duty (MOD), and communicate effectively with Directors.

    •   Use proper telephone etiquette when taking catering orders or other guest inquiries and logging all calls through the national app in a timely manner

    •   Financial & Administrative Tasks: Verify opening cash, prepare cash drawers/belts, verify $50/$100 bills, and log phone calls/catering orders via the nation app.

    •   Operational Support: Provide PIN verification for cashiers, manage POS systems, and ensure the team is "ready for transitions". 

    Qualifications

    •   Must be available 30 hours per week minimum

    •   Proven ability to train, mentor, and build teams.

    •   Strong communication and multitasking skills in high-volume environments. 

    Physical and Scheduling Demands

    •   Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days and/or nights, and weekends.

    •   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
