The Assistant Fire Chief - Emergency Services ensures readiness for emergency response by managing all facets of the department's suppression initiatives and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) response activities. The primary position responsibilities and areas of impact are:

• Responsible for the management, supervision, and administration of all duty crew firefighters, management of all fire stations, equipment, and apparatus. Responsible for public relations efforts as assigned by the Fire Chief.
• Leads emergency services efforts within the Fire Department by strategically developing objectives to ensure adequate and trained response to calls Works collaboratively to ensure all suppression, EMS, and special response areas meet or exceed state and federally required standards for their respective positions. Establishes department standards and policies related to the operations areas.
