Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Fabrication
Supervisor to oversee our fabrication operations. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in manufacturing, store front and curtain
wall systems, with hands-on experience in various welding techniques and
fabrication processes. This role is crucial for ensuring that all
projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality
standards.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring
adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, codes & standards to
guide fabrication processes.
- Ensure effective communication between departments to meet project
deadlines.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition to enhance
productivity.
- Schedule glass and mirror cutting requests for Project Managers and
Field Managers.
- Assist in the fabrication of more complex elevation frames
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a storefront and curtain wall systems,
manufacturing environment with a focus on fabrication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot
equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to fabrication
tasks.
- Experience with machining processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading
trucks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while
also being capable of working independently.
