### Experience Required Requires four (4) years' experience in horticulture, including trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials. ### License(s) Required Requires active New Jersey driver’s license in good standing (non-probationary) and eligibility for auto insurance. ### Compensation $71,656.00 - $71,656.00 / Yearly ### Hours Per Week 40 ### Number Of Positions 1 ### Job Description Assistant Estate Gardener and Farm Manager; job duties: -Support the management of all aspects of the apiary using organic techniques and materials, as well as applying, recognizing and diagnosing diseases and pests. -Organic lawn care and maintenance across all four seasons, as directed by Owner. -Manage poultry flock consisting of chickens, guineas fowl, turkeys and peacocks using organic techniques and materials. -Ensure timely maintenance and repair of small engine equipment, including raising potential issues to Owner and proposing maintenance or repair solutions and costs. -Maintain and repair mowers, tractors, and snow removal equipment. -Groundskeeping, including overseeing care and maintenance of outdoor furniture and art installations. -General maintenance of structures on the property. -Under Owner’s direction, manage outside contractors working on the property. Requires four (4) years' experience in horticulture, including trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials. Requires four (4) years' experience with: -plant identification, installation, care, maintenance, and disease and pest control using organic materials and techniques, as well as ability to recognize and diagnose diseases and pests; -organic lawn care and maintenance across all four seasons; -operating horticultural equipment across seasons, including wood-chippers, chainsaws, heavy-duty mowers and tractors; -snow preparation and removal techniques, including operation of salt-spreading and plowing machinery; -identifying operational issues in horticultural equipment and proposing solutions to owner; -working with and managing third-party contractors and/or subcontractors to facilitate horticultural and/or agricultural project progression; -applying ability to work without supervision and complete tasks on time, including engaging in and/or managing multiple simultaneous project and tasks. Travel required: 5-10% domestic travel to maintain properties at other sites. Requires active New Jersey driver’s license in good standing (non-probationary) and eligibility for auto insurance.
