Job Title: Assistant Distribution Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enforce proper operational and safety policies/procedures at all times.
  • Oversee receiving and shipping; ensure integrity of inventory levels in SAP, LISA, and NetSuite; coordinate storage of parts in an organized manner
  • Oversee shipment of parts to customers and/or ASAP stores; ensure proper packaging and utilization of shipping carriers to achieve cost-effective freight
  • Coordinate with I.C.C. to ensure cycle counts on inventory, discrepancies are investigated and corrected in SAP, LISA, and NetSuite, and root cause analysis done to mitigate repeat occurrences.
  • Prioritize employee work assignments and monitor the time clock for attendance and proper recording of work hours. Help manage employees request for time off.
  • Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse to company standards.
  • Interview, hire and oversee training of employees, conduct employee performance evaluations and use corrective disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Achieve or exceed all K.P.I. (Key Productivity Indicator) metrics while maintaining cost at or below budget.
  • Ensures implementation and adherence to Human Resources policies and procedures through enforcement and accountability.
  • Other duties and projects as requested by management
  • Comply with the requirements of the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position supervises employees within the department.

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 5 years equivalent work experience in business, supply chain and operations management; particularly within the agriculture and construction parts sectors, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous supervising experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • Advanced computer knowledge including e-mail, Word, and Excel software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

  • Well-versed with supply chain, inventory management, material requirement and planning, and project management programs.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
