Job Responsibilities
The Assistant Testing Director coordinates testing operations and services for the Nursing Program and assists with coordinating the daily testing operations across all campuses. Provides operational leadership and support for testing personnel and activities across all campuses as needed. Serves as a resource for students, faculty, and staff regarding testing services and maintains the ability to proctor for all tests offered by the Testing Center.
Assists with daily operational support for Testing Center to include planning, and scheduling with Nursing to ensure space and proctors are available as needed. Responsible for Testing Center operations and makes managerial decisions in accordance with Testing Center policies and procedures when the Director is unavailable.
Ensures that the testing center practices are kept current and that the site is operated in a consistent, accurate and efficient manner.
Serves as lead proctor for the Testing Center. Ensures compliance with testing policies; tests and testing material are handled securely; files are kept in order; logs are managed; data is recorded and compiled. Ensures employee testing certifications remain current for Accuplacer, Pearson VUE, TEAS, NHA, CLEP, and others as required.
Serves as back-up proctor and/or additional proctor for all testing cites. Maintains current certification in all tests offered. Travels to other campuses as needed. Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree. Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of experience in a college environment. Background knowledge of best practices in testing.
Additional Comments
Occasional night and/or weekend hours may be required for scheduled events. Occasional travel to other SCC campuses.
