SCHEDULE: Monday- Thursday, 10am to 6pm & Fridays, 9am to 5pm

  • Regular evening or weekend work required for RA programming, training, staff meetings, and on call response

HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 48 weeks/year (11-month position)

  • 2 weeks off at the end of May & 2 weeks off in the Spring semester (Spring break and the following week)

FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Salaried

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Assistant Director of Residence Life is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and facilities management of Molloy University's three residence halls, helping to maintain the housing database (ERezlife), student engagement platform (Anthology Engage), and student conduct software (Maxient). This position is also the primary liaison with Facilities and Campus Services, ensuring a seamless experience for all residents. The Assistant Director also serves as an on-call administrator for the residence halls and co-supervises the RA staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Co-supervises RA staffs, help to maintain the housing database (ERezlife), resident conduct system (Maxient), and student engagement platform (Anthology Engage). The Assistant Director will also help to oversee residential student conduct. This position will also help to manage the livingatmolloy social media account and content calendar.
  • The Assistant Director will serve as the liaison between Residence Life and Facilities and work to manage work order submissions and follow-up, and will manage MicroFridge delivery and other vendor deliveries to the residence halls. Will help coordinate all work orders, room reservations, and orders for department. The Assistant Director coordinates advertising and communication of essential housing information and policies to campus stakeholders via multiple platforms (website, email, etc.).
  • Serves as administrator on call when there are students on campus and respond to

emergencies as needed after hours and on weekends. Coordinates summer housing and conference groups utilizing the residence halls.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 to 5 years of work-related experience (Must have at least 3 years of Residence Life experience)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook Word)

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary for this position is $61,200.00.This hiring salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
