Exempt, Salaried GENERAL PURPOSE

The Assistant Director of Student Involvement functions as an integral member of the Student Involvement and Student Affairs teams. The Assistant Director will fill an essential role as part of the Student Affairs team that plans and organizes Molloy's New Student Programming including Summer, January, and Transfer Orientation. This position also works with other members of the Student Involvement team to oversee student organization programming and event planning, resource allocation, and overall development. The Assistant Director will also serve in an after-hours on-call rotation supporting Molloy's residential student population.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

New Student Orientation:

Serves as a member of the New Student/Transfer Orientation team, leading the planning and execution of all summer new student orientation experiences/trips. Support the recruitment, selection, training, and supervision of student Orientation Leaders.

Student organization supervision:

Serve as staff liaison for a select number of student clubs/associations, including maintaining status in the student organization database, event planning, financial oversight, and collaboration with facilities management on-campus. Support Molloy Life Media and collaborate with student leaders to shape dynamic, relevant content that amplifies campus life and engagement. Responsible for administrative event planning needs, including timely submission of work orders, room reservations, catering orders, and supply orders with on and off-campus vendors.

Event planning and promotion:

Responsible for administrative event planning needs, including timely submission of work orders, room reservations, catering orders, and supply orders with on and off-campus vendors. Coordinate and serve as chaperone/host for evening and weekend programs. Coordinate and oversee event planning and promotion on campus in addition to maintaining event details in the online event management system and ensuring appropriate promotions/flyers for events on campus.

Fraternity and Sorority Life:

Collaborate with the Vice President for Student Affairs and the Dean of Students to establish Molloy's new Fraternity and Sorority Life program, including drafting policies, advising emerging groups, and guiding the program's overall development.

Student Affairs Programmatic and Administrative Support:

The Assistant Director will provide support for division wide programming including Family and Alumni Weekend, Commencement, and Residence Hall Move-In. Will also participate in the administrative on call rotation for Molloy's residential student population and serve as a student conduct officer. Will serve as a student conduct officer.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree 3 to 5 years of work related experience Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Databases

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

Masters Degree (Education, Psychology/Social Work/Counseling, Higher Education Administration) Web Development Statistical Software Jenzabar Software

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary for this position is $61,200.00. This annual salary represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
