Summary

The general purpose of this position is to design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for varsity student-athletes.

Essential Functions

  • Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for assigned sports.

  • Assist with workout implementation for a variety of sports.

  • Assist Director of Strength and Conditioning with all aspects of program administration.

  • Directly supervise and train interns/practicum students.

  • Coordinate training facility cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

  • Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

The following Education is required:

  • Bachelors degree.

The following Education is preferred:

  • Master's Degree is preferred in Exercise Physiology or related field

The following Experience is required:

  • 6 months strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level or higher or managing a fitness center used by groups and individuals.

The following Certification is required:

  • C.S.C.S. Certification (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
  • Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR

Additional Information

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to work in the collegiate setting with collegiate athletes, coaches and other athletic department staff.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules/regulations
  • Creativity
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of people with broad backgrounds and experiences
  • Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR.
