Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, with flexibility to meet program needs.
A Day in the Life of an Assistant Director of Residential Services:
As a full time Assistant Director of Residential Services you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Residential Services. You will be essential in shaping and enhancing the development and daily operations of the Residential Program.
- Responsible for the onboarding, development, and supervision of Senior Residence Supervisors.
- Provides direct guidance and oversight of significant staffing issues.
- Responsible for regular internal auditing to monitor and ensure program compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Reviews all internal audit findings and assists in the preparation of responses to include plans for corrective action. Monitors corrective action to assess fulfillment.
- Participates in administrative on-call rotation for after-hours as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for the Residential Department in the absence of the Director of Residential Services.
- Performs direct support responsibilities as needed in emergency situations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Residential Specific trainings
Who We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field.
- Three years' experience working in residential services.
- One year of supervisory experience.
- Must possess a current, valid New York State driver's license that meets the Agency driver standards.
- Ability to deal with people at all organizational levels.
- Good administrative, analytical and organizational problem-solving.
- Good oral and written communication skills, and an aptitude for directing and motivating people.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
