Summary: The purpose of this position is to promote and provide a safe, secure, and interactive campus community for all students. The Assistant Director of Housing & Student Engagement is responsible for supporting the overall administration and operation of campus housing as well as directing the development, planning, coordination, and implementation of student engagement initiatives across the Ellsworth Community College campus. This position fosters a vibrant residential and campus community by leading other Assistant Housing Directors, Resident Assistants (RAs), and campus partners to create, implement, and manage inclusive and engaging experiences that enhance student success, retention, and sense of belonging.
Job Responsibilities:
Education and Experience: Associates Degree Required, Bachelors preferred.
Certifications and Licenses: Valid Iowa driver''s license within 30 days. First Aid and CPR certification required.
Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a diverse population of students. Knowledge and ability to organize multiple priorities and job duties. Knowledge of general office procedures and protocols.
Base Wage: $39,967-$53,289 annually - actual salary will be based on experience and education.
