Job Overview

Our organization is in search of a committed Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Cardio Thoracic ICU/Cardiovascular ICU Department at our New Brunswick campus.

QualificationsRequired:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU setting is essential.
Preferred:
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is highly desirable.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience with patients undergoing Cardiac and Vascular Surgery is advantageous.
  • CCRN certification is preferred.
Certifications and Licenses Required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • An active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey is necessary.
Scheduling Requirements
  • Day shift, 40 hours per week.
  • Full-time position.
  • On-call leadership coverage is expected.
Essential Functions
  • Provide leadership and guidance to achieve the unit's and organization's objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, manage resources, and oversee services.
  • Assist the Director in daily unit operations and delegated tasks.
  • Responsible for 50% of patient care duties.
  • Collaboratively develop and maintain staff schedules and payroll.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure staff accountability.
