Assistant Director of Nursing/Unit Manager

We are seeing a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing/Unit Manager to lead operations and ensure exceptional care for residents in our long-term care living option.

Schedule: Monday–Friday (some evenings/weekends)
Status: Salaried, Exempt

Pay Range: $93k to $105k

About the Role

The Assistant Director of Nursing/Unit Manager oversees daily operations and quality of care for a 36-bed long term care unit, with 24/7 accountability. This role provides leadership to clinical staff, ensures regulatory compliance, supports a positive experience for residents and families, and serves as the Infection Control Preventionist for the organization. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing and interdisciplinary staff
• Manage unit operations, staffing coordination, and workflow
• Support clinical care, assessments, and care planning
• Ensure compliance with regulations and infection control standards
• Participate in quality improvement (QAPI) and leadership meetings
• Maintain strong communication with residents, families, and staff
• Assist with hiring, coaching, and staff development

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Wisconsin
• 3–5 years of long-term care experience
• Previous leadership/management experience required
• CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Infection control certification and/or experience
