ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING & CAMPUS EXECUTIVE - DALLAS ONLINE
The Department of Nursing at Texas Lutheran University invites applications for the full-time Assistant Director of Nursing for our new Dallas area online programs. This 12-month position provides leadership and support in the administration of the pre-licensure online Accelerated BSN (ABSN) and Direct-Entry MSN (DEMSN) programs.
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing will provide leadership to foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment and contribute to the mission and strategic goals of the institution. This role requires strong planning, execution, and collaborative skills, as well as experience in nursing education and online curriculum development. A strong candidate will be able to coordinate the online programs in the Dallas area, requiring an individual who is a strong leader but also able to stay well-connected to the vision and mission of TLU and the Nursing Program. This position will be critical as Texas Lutheran University strengthens its commitment to student success, retention, and engagement under a renewed commitment to equity and inclusion.

Department Overview Texas Lutheran University (TLU) offers dynamic and comprehensive Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and direct-entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) pre-licensure nursing programs designed to prepare students for a successful career in nursing through flexible campus-based, hybrid, and online formats. With multiple pathways tailored to students education and experience, TLU offers the BSN as a traditional program on the residential campus. For students who have a non-nursing bachelors or associate degree, the Accelerated BSN program is available in hybrid or online formats that can be completed in 16 months. Additionally, students with a non-nursing bachelors degree may enter the direct-entry MSN and complete it in as few as 20 months. Both the BSN and MSN include 900 or more hours of hands-on experience offered through labs, simulations, and real-world clinical placements to ensure graduates are confident, competent, and career-ready.
The Department of Nursing has approval from the Texas Board of Nursing to offer the accelerated BSN and direct-entry MSN nursing degrees. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and masters degree program in nursing at Texas Lutheran University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org). The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for a nursing career and requires all students to be involved in evidence-based practice projects or faculty-mentored research. Our BSN and MSN graduates have an excellent NCLEX-RN pass rate and employment rate.
