Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Behavioral Health
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Local Rate: $3,637.5/Week
Travel Rate: $4,148.5/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Behavioral Health for an exciting Travel or Local job in Brooklyn, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Nursing in managing daily operations of behavioral health units
- Ensure clinical practices meet safety and quality standards
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including guidance on psychiatric cases
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing audits
- Provide clinical oversight during psychiatric emergencies
- Support de-escalation and crisis intervention practices
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling to maintain staffing levels
Qualifications:
- BSN required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role in Behavioral Health or Psychiatry
- Active, valid RN license required
- Strong knowledge of mental health laws, patient rights, and psychiatric nursing interventions
