️ Position Overview
As Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you’ll partner with the Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations, ensure compliance, and drive quality care across the facility.
You’ll play a key role in staff development, clinical oversight, and survey readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day nursing operations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
- Make daily rounds to support staff and ensure quality care
- Lead and support CQI (Quality Improvement) initiatives
- Conduct chart audits and monitor documentation accuracy
- Oversee infection control practices
- Support staffing, scheduling, and team development
- Maintain strong communication with residents, families, and staff
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Alabama (required)
- 3+ years nursing experience (long-term care preferred)
- Supervisory or leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of survey process and regulations
- Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills
