Job Summary:
The primary role of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the daily operations of the Nursing Department. This is in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, as directed by the Administrator, Medical Director, and/or Director of Nursing Services, to ensure the highest standard of quality care at all times.
Delegation of Authority:
As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you are delegated the necessary administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to carry out your assigned duties. In the absence of the Director of Nursing Services, you are responsible for ensuring that resident care policies are followed.
