Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in your leadership career?

We’re seeking a compassionate, experienced, and hands-on Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join a respected skilled nursing facility in Cary, North Carolina.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Director of Nursing, oversee day-to-day clinical operations, mentor nursing staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and help drive a culture of clinical excellence and resident-centered care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Assist the Director of Nursing in managing and coordinating nursing services throughout the facility
Ensure compliance with North Carolina DHHS (NCDHHS) regulations and standards
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff
Monitor resident care plans, quality indicators, and clinical documentation
Support staffing, training, scheduling, and shift coverage
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address behavioral health and memory care needs
Help streamline clinical workflows and promote nursing best practices
Take a hands-on leadership role during surveys, audits, and emergencies
Promote a culture focused on resident safety, dignity, quality, and compassionate care

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience
Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of North Carolina skilled nursing regulations / NCDHHS requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask in a dynamic environment
Experience with dementia care, behavioral health, memory care, or secured units is a PLUS
SPICE Certification highly preferred
Must have a genuine passion for serving residents and their families
