The Assistant Director of Financial Reporting - Foundations provides strategic and operational leadership for accounting, reporting, and governance related to the University's affiliated entities, endowment, and investments.
They ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in foundation and investment accounting, coordinate with external investment managers, and serve as the primary liaison with auditors and advisors.
The role involves managing the financial reporting unit, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring adherence to policies and regulations, while supporting organizational goals through effective decision-making and daily operations.
The position requires a strong background in higher education and investment accounting principles (GASB, GAAP, UPMIFA), experience with audited financial statements, and organizational skills.
Preferred qualifications include a CPA, MBA, or related master's degree, experience managing outsourced accounting, and proficiency with relevant financial systems.
This is a full-time, exempt, on-site role with potential for remote or hybrid work, based in the University's Controller's Office.
