Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
- Supervise engineering staff and support consistent standards across sites
- Drive preventative maintenance compliance and track follow-through
- Serve as the point of contact between Building Engineers, Property Managers, and the Director of Engineering
- Maintain a safety-first approach in all work and decisions
Required qualifications/skills:
- Hands-on knowledge of commercial building systems listed above
- Ability to climb ladders
- Valid driver’s license
Apply if you want a hands-on leadership role that keeps buildings efficient and dependable.
Check in with onsite teams and review overnight issues or open work orders. You might be moving between buildings, walking key areas, and syncing priorities with property managers so the right problems get handled first. You’ll spend part of the day on the phone or in brief huddles to keep communication clean between engineers and leadership. You will review maintenance logs, confirm PMs are being closed out, and document what needs attention next. Before wrapping up, you make sure the next day’s coverage and access needs are lined up so teams can work without delays. Assist with training new engineers.
