Minimum Annual Salary $50,000 Salary Band: UC S04 Job Summary/Basic Function:

Manage, develop, and execute recruitment and yield efforts for international applicants, via virtual and in-person methods. Ensure that prospective students receive correct information to ensure a smooth application process. Develop, cultivate new and old relationships with external organizations to maximize recruitment and yield efforts. Oversee department communication with prospective and admitted students including queries through email, WhatsApp, and walk-ins. Administer international undergraduate admissions, including collection and tracking of required documents; transcript and credential evaluation, transfer credit evaluation, GPA calculation, and creation and management for any conditional admission seeking applicants.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Marketing/Sales/Admissions, one of those years working with college or high school students and can include pertinent experience earned prior to degree completion.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, strong interpersonal, public speaking, and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation is required due travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience in international admissions.

Essential Functions and percent of time:

45% Processing and Communication

Synchronize all necessary platforms and college knowledge to provide form processing and data collection in a timely manner. This is to ensure that all processes are smooth for both applicant and university. Provide prospective WSU students with correct information to ensure a smooth transition into the WSU community.

  • Provide continuing students required documentation to continue their education in the USA and at WSU.
  • Create, edit periodically, revise, and disseminate official letters to admitted and denied international students, graduate, and undergraduate.
  • Analyze and interpret data for the production of visa documents (I-20/DS-2019) for new and continuing degree/non-degree seeking and visiting summer students.
  • Oversee communication with prospective applicants regarding all phases of the application process. Answer inquiries for all programs' requirements. Advise applicants of any missing documents. Inform applicants of the admission decision. Determine if the applicant file is complete and if not, what additional information is required.
  • Serve as key collaborator with the Transfer Center and other key offices regarding international student transfer applicants and students with international transfer credit.
  • Administer the support for prospective international undergraduate and graduate students through the admission process. Advise applicants about procedures, policies, and regulations related to all types of international students at the University. Acquire and maintain knowledge of undergraduate and graduate policies related to different immigration statuses required to provide smooth operations and customer service up to WSU standards.
  • Analyze and execute disciplinary action for "suspected fraudulent" applicants in collaboration with the Associate Director of international enrollment management.
  • Identify the correct grading scale for UG applicants, and update UCIE grading scale database
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate communication standards for the office's primary medium of communications, such as Email and WhatsApp. Design automated messages, for each medium, for "standard inquiries" and execute/oversee such messages are sent.
  • Serve on leadership for UCIE International Admissions on campus to meet and work on common goals with other campus units as necessary. Collaborate with WSU undergraduate and graduate admissions to ensure a cohesive university messaging to provide customer service up to WSU standards.
  • Represents Associate Director for International Enrollment Management when needed.
  • Collaborate with Undergraduate Admissions with the determination of accurate international student types and the consequent next steps related to the case.

30% Recruitment

  • Manage, develop, and execute recruitment efforts for international students, via virtual and in-person methods. Develop, cultivate new and old relationships with external organizations to maximize recruitment efforts. Provide continuing students required documentation to continue their education in the USA and at WSU.
  • Oversee the use of "niche engage" to create and maintain an automated communication for student inquiries. Analyze the current student body to help increase interaction and facilitate international student inclusion.
  • Participate and execute strategic domestic international enrollment management strategies, in collaboration with the Associate Director of International Enrollment Management
  • Coordinate and assist in virtual recruitment efforts in collaboration with the Associate Vice President, UCIE, and Associate Director for International Enrollment Management.
  • Prepare budget recommendations for recruitment and travel. Develop, monitor, and implement budget approvals, in collaboration with the Associate Director of International Enrollment. Participate in recruitment events, fairs, and visits.
  • Assist, conduct and develop presentations to represent Wright State University in the world.
  • Create and coordinate with Education USA offices abroad for virtual recruitment efforts.

15% Program Management

  • Recommend, hire, orient, train, and supervise UCIE student workers assigned to provide support in office projects.
  • Provide research, reviews and reports techniques and strategies from other Universities to improve and maintain the efficiency of WSU international admission process.
  • Track, maintain, analize data regarding fraudulent document submission. Identify patterns from different regions of the enrollment pipeline.
