Posting Description

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS, NEWMAC, Dean for Student Life-Administration, has direct oversight of the Conference's communications, branding, social media and web presence, working with Conference personnel and NEWMAC membership to promote and publicize the Conference through written, visual and social media communications. The Assistant Director also has direct oversight of the Athletic Communications Committee, the Awards Working Group and other committees as assigned by the Executive Director.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: A minimum of one year of experience in academic administration, student services, or related work experience; strong leadership abilities and a proven track record of managing complex projects/events and leading teams, content calendars, and creation of original content; exceptional verbal, written, and online communication skills; ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines; ability to work independently; knowledge and adherence to NCAA Division III and NEWMAC Conference rules and policies; proficient computer skills in the following programs: Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, athletics website content management systems, web streaming, and social media platforms such Instagram, X and YouTube; and bachelor's degree.
