What youll do on a typical day
The Assistant Director of Enrollment & Recruitment supports the Senior Director of Enrollment Strategy in advancing a comprehensive enrollment management framework that promotes student access, enrollment, and success. This position provides leadership and coordination for admissions, recruitment, outreach, onboarding, and international student services, including serving as one of the institutions Designated School Official (DSO) for F-1 students and supporting compliance with federal regulations. The role contributes to the alignment and effectiveness of enrollment initiatives, fosters cross-functional collaboration, supervises Admissions and Recruitment Counselors, and helps ensure a seamless and student-centered experience from initial inquiry through enrollment.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the Senior Director of Enrollment Strategy & Services to support the coordination and execution of a comprehensive enrollment strategy across admissions, recruiting/outreach, onboarding, registrar operations, and high school partnerships.
Serves as a liaison with the Director of Student Success Systems to support the integration and alignment of Slate across enrollment and student success functions.
Deliver comprehensive admissions advisement to prospective students through face-to-face, virtual, and electronic communication channels, ensuring students receive accurate information regarding programs, admissions requirements, and enrollment procedures.
Leads and manages Programs with Special Criteria (PWSC), coordinating with academic leadership on admissions processes, application review, and decision-making for competitive entry programs.
Supports alignment between admissions, recruitment/outreach and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless transition from applicant to enrolled student.
Works in partnership with registrar operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of student records, residency, and enrollment-related requirements.
Coordinates with high school partners to strengthen dual enrollment and early college pipelines, ensuring clear communication and effective partnership management.
Supports the development and continuous improvement of enrollment-related policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce barriers for students.
Coordinates enrollment event strategy and outreach efforts in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support institutional enrollment goals.
Oversees Contact Center operations to ensure consistent, accurate, and student-centered communication across all enrollment touchpoints.
Supervises part-time staff and work-study students, ensuring effective daily operations and alignment with enrollment priorities.
Supervises Admissions and Recruitment Counselors by assigning work, providing training and coaching, conducting performance evaluations, monitoring recruitment and enrollment outcomes, and ensuring consistent delivery of admissions advising and recruitment services throughout the Colleges service area.
Serve as the Designated School Official (DSO) for F-1 international students, overseeing SEVIS compliance, immigration documentation, and student advising, while assisting prospective and enrolled students with F-1 and other visa classifications through the admissions, enrollment, and student support processes.
Serves as designee for the Senior Director of Enrollment Strategy & Services for admissions and recruitment as needed, supporting departmental leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuity of operations.
Have a valid CDL drivers license or be willing to obtain it as a condition of employment

Your attributes
Required
Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution
Two years of experience in enrollment management (admissions, recruitment, and/or onboarding)
Two years of supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of previous supervisory experience
Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or relevant experience utilizing CRM systems.
Two or more years of work experience in student affairs or academic programs within a higher education or workforce development setting
Fluent Spanish speaking and writing skills
Experience with social media and web content

ADA Summary: ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information and exercise good judgment in the collection, evaluation, and analysis of data, and student assessment, curriculum development, and program review.
Other requirements include ease of mobility in supervising students in classroom/lab settings, carrying supplies and other instructional materials, ability to move, climb, or crawl under equipment, use of keyboard, effective use of all forms of communication (oral, written, visual, auditory), and the ability to perform general teaching and office duties and travel to other campus locations.
