Description
The Assistant Director, Community Giving raises unrestricted funds through Children's Miracle Network fundraising programs including Radiothons, Extra Life gaming program, and collegiate-focused programs such as Dance Marathons. Key duties include cultivating donor relationships, organizing event logistics, developing program strategies, coordinating with external stakeholders, public speaking, and contributing to the overall community engagement fundraising strategy. The role raises $500,000+ annually through an assigned portfolio while providing a world-class experience that leaves donors feeling valued, informed and engaged.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor''s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or other
related field
(Required)
Minimum Work Experience
4 years of technical development experience with a proven record in lower level major gifts, high end annual gifts or special event execution, or managing a component of the marketing program preferably in a healthcare or academic setting (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills (including phone skills such as warm tone, good speaking cadence, clear and articulate speech)
Effective interpersonal skills that demonstrate poise, tact, patience, and courtesy
Must demonstrate initiative, energy, confidence, strong donor service attitude, and willingness to contribute to a teamwork-driven environment
High levels of professionalism, compassion, creativity and integrity
Proven experience in successfully building and cultivating donor relationships
A willingness to work collaboratively to produce fundraising strategies and tactics
Proven sense for developing tactics to meet goals and objectives
Ability to manage time and task completion effectively
Strong familiarity with The Raiser''s Edge software and/or other donor-related platforms
