Job Summary
The Assistant Director for Instructional Design, Engagement and Assistance (IDEA), under the supervision of the Director of Instructional Design, will support the development of innovative online courses and programs, provide personalized technical and pedagogical faculty support, manage faculty and student feedback collection and reporting, and supervise the Instructional Technology Coordinator and the Instructional Technology Specialist. They play an active role in decisions related technology within the online courses, ensuring that experiences meet the specifications of the degree program and adhere to institutional expectations for rigor, quality, and scalability.
The Assistant Director will specialize in the following two areas: managing online course technologies and faculty development. This position will be expected to do a significant amount of work within the LMS in the AUO courses to provide the support needed for delivery. The Assistant Director will have no responsibility for the oversight and functioning of the LMS.

Required Qualifications
Masters degree from an accredited college or university in instructional design, educational technology or a related field from an accredited higher education institution with five or more years working in higher education supporting faculty and online education, along with one or more years of experience in teaching in higher education, and experience in data collection to inform continuous improvement.
