Assists the Director of Athletics Communications in the daily operations of a premier NCAA Division III athletics program. An emphasis on social media and building creative content to promote the competitive excellence and personal development embodied by Big Red Athletics must be complemented with a demonstrated knowledge and experience in day-to-day athletics communications functions in game statistics and reporting, livestreams, storytelling, and Sidearm. Responsible for contributing high-quality, consistent work product in support of student-athletes on 28 varsity teams, coaches and staff, and the broader Denison community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage of Denison's 28 NCAA Division III varsity athletic programs.

  • Maintain the athletics department website, compile game and season statistics and report scores and statistics.

  • Oversee and manage the branded social media presence on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of content strategies to drive brand awareness.

  • Assist with oversight of the Denison Sports Network by scheduling student broadcasters for all athletic department audio and video broadcast streams; supervise students working in athletics.

  • Supervises, schedules, and hires up to 25 student workers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

2-4 Years of relevant experience in Communications, Marketing, and/or Social Media
