Season as defined by schedule set forth by the AHS Athletic Coordinator in accordance with CIAC season limitation and policies.Performance ResponsibilitiesCoaches individual participants in the skills necessary for achievement in the sport involved under the guidance and direction of the Head CoachVarsity Coach..Plans and schedules with the Athletic Coordinator and Head CoachVarsity Coach and regular program of practice in season including holiday or vacation periods.Works closely with the Athletic Coordinator and the Head CoachVarsity Coach in scheduling interscholastic contests.Recommends purchase of equipment supplies and uniforms as appropriate.Maintains and completes necessary attendance forms insurance records accident reports and similar paperwork.Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.In accordance with the Head CoachVarsity Coach establishes written rules and regulations in consultation with the athletic coordinator andor principal for distribution to all team members and parentguardians prior to the start of the season. Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and imposes penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.Provides for the orderly distribution and collection of all athletic equipment.Conforms to the rules and regulations as stated in the coaches manual andor athletic department handbook.Perform such other duties as are consistent with the nature of the position and as may be requested by the athletic coordinator andor principal.Follow all applicable state laws and CIAC regulations related to concussion and sports injuryPhysical Demands The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this position.
