Job Title: Assistant Coordinator, Materials Management

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Summary
This position offers candidates the ability to enjoy a job offering unique day-to-day activities. From tracking and receivcing college shipmnets, to delivering freight, equipment, and supplies throughout the Texas Medical Center, this position offers the opportunity to develop and refind skills in inventory management, logistics software, and fleet maintenance.
Job Duties
Handles and maintains flow of material and products according to established guidelines.
Delivers freight, equipment, and furniture to appropriate Baylor departments.
Provides assistance to internal and external customers with item orders.
Maintains inventory of products and packages.
Assists with vehicle maintenance.
Tracks and documents the logistics of materials using computer software and scanners.
Drives to different destinations to pick up or deliver packages.
Processes deliveries at multiple BCM loading/unloading docks, averaging 400 packages daily including:
Time-sensitive, Perishable, or Other Potential Infectious Materials (OPIM) for our Research and Clinical Missions.
Assists in identifying and eliminating bottlenecks on a daily basis.
Performs responsibilities to reduce the risk of delivery "bring-backs" and loss of perishable items.
Assists Supervisor, Leads and Coordinators ensuring Safety and Compliance requirements are met for Receiving/Delivery functions.
First in line for customer service functions while making deliveries around campus, and for communicating with delivery drivers, relaying any issues or updates to department leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
