Annual Salary Range: $105k - $135k plus annual discretionary bonus

About the Role

As an Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations. You'll support the Controller in overseeing daily accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.

This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, ownership, and problem-solving are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage and support the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Assist with annual audits and tax return preparation
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business operations and reporting needs

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred)
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience preparing financial statements and managing close cycles
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables and financial modeling)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Mortgage or real estate industry experience is a plus
