Reporting to the Real Estate Controller, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and adherence to best practices. The position serves as the primary liaison with the outsourced property manager's accounting team, supervising day-to-day accounting activities, reviewing lease data in systems like Yardi, and flagging potential issues to asset management. It also ensures the integrity of real estate sub-ledgers and accurate data flow into internal and third-party reporting systems. Key responsibilities include leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews; overseeing budget and forecast evaluations; and supporting the annual valuation process through appraisal coordination.
