Assistant Controller

Our client, a dynamic company in the wholesale apparel sector in New York City, is seeking a skilled professional to oversee essential accounting and financial operations. This role includes managing daily accounting functions, generating insightful financial reports, and conducting thorough reconciliations. You will play a critical part in supporting the finance team by handling bank reconciliations and Accounts Payable tasks, such as evaluating vendor invoices for payment and executing payment processes like check generation and wire transfers. Additionally, you will manage Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring smooth order approvals, monthly reconciliations, and credit card processing. A strong candidate will bring over three years of relevant experience and be proficient in Sage 100 accounting software. While a CPA certification is an advantage, it isn’t mandatory.
