Assistant Controller Location: Near Mayfield, NY Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000 Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview Our well-established client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the Chief Financial Officer and oversee key accounting operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the organization's overall financial management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with financial data while collaborating with leadership to maintain compliance and efficient accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Accounting OperationsAssist in managing daily accounting activities and financial processes Prepare and review month-end account reconciliations and financial reports Analyze financial records and accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance Financial Controls & ComplianceDevelop and maintain internal accounting controls and best practices Ensure adherence to established accounting standards and financial procedures Assist with both internal and external audit preparation and documentation Reporting & Process ImprovementSupport the preparation of financial reports and operational data analysis Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and reporting processes Help implement accounting policies that strengthen financial accuracy and efficiency
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience with ERP systems such as Sage 100 is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills
