This role will partner closely with the Controller and finance leadership team to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and high-performing individual to step into a role with broad responsibilities and a significant impact. The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller and other key leadership to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, while adhering to GAAP standards. This position will also play a critical role in the management of the company's private equity relationships and will be deeply involved in the strategic planning and execution of the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury.
Collaborate with the Controller to develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Participate in the development of the company's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
Manage the company's relationships with private equity partners.
Maintain a strong control environment to safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
Lead and coordinate the budget and forecast process.
Implement and manage financial controls and processes.
Assist in the preparation for annual audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with private equity is a must.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with financial reporting software.
Self-motivated and self-directed; able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
Skilled at working collaboratively and in a team environment.
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, and ability to stay current with updates and changes.
