Assistant Controller

Hybrid | Addison, TX (DFW)
$120,000–$150,000 base + up to 10% bonus

A DFW?based industry leader is seeking a high?impact Assistant Controller to join its growing finance team. This is a hybrid position (3 days per week in the office) offering meaningful visibility, leadership responsibility, and long?term growth potential.

The Assistant Controller will partner closely with the Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls in a complex, fast?paced environment. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, driving operational efficiencies, and developing a high?performing accounting team.


What You’ll Do

Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting

  • Lead month?end, quarter?end, and year?end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies

  • Support timely, accurate financial reporting for executive leadership and strategic decision?making

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and reporting cycles

Compliance, Tax & Audit

  • Maintain strong internal controls and assist with ongoing control monitoring

  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, including preparation of schedules and audit support

  • Assist with tax filings and ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are met

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor accounting staff

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, high?performance team culture


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CPA strongly preferred

  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with NetSuite or other major ERP systems

  • Excellent communication, problem?solving, and leadership skills
