Assistant Community Manager - San Antonio, Texas

Pay Range: $22.00 to $28.00

Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and detail oriented Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations at a residential community in the San Antonio area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with residents, supporting financial performance, and helping lead an onsite team. It is also a strong pathway to becoming a future Community Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support rent collection, delinquency management, and basic financial reporting
  • Assist with budget preparation and expense control
  • Support leasing activities to help achieve occupancy goals
  • Manage lease renewals and ensure accurate documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive resident relations
  • Enforce community policies and support conflict resolution
  • Conduct regular property inspections and monitor overall curb appeal
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team and manage work orders
  • Communicate with vendors and support operational needs
  • Assist the Community Manager in supervising and motivating the onsite team
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, procedures, and fair housing laws

Qualifications Required

  • 3 or more years of experience in property management or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of property management regulations and fair housing laws
  • Experience with rent collection, delinquency management, and financial reporting
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Preferred

  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or similar industry certification
