The Assistant Coach for Women's Lacrosse is a full-time, twelve-month position and is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the Women's Lacrosse program. The program competes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Association (PSAC) at the NCAA Division II level. Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Recruits quality academic students who are also competitive student-athletes.
Trains, strengthens, and develops all student-athletes on a year-round schedule, under the direction of the Head Coach.
Learns, understands, and complies with all PSAC, NCAA, and Gannon University regulations.
Promotes and represents the University whenever possible.
Assists in the development and implementation of a year-round strength and conditioning program for the team.
Assists with the overall recruiting process, including on and off-campus recruiting activities and events.
Assists with scouting, film upload and exchange, game planning, and game day strategies.
Assists in the development and implementation of camps and clinics.
Performs other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility and requirements of the job.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree; working knowledge of PSAC and NCAA regulations. Must be able to pass the NCAA recruiting/education modules annually.
Experience: Collegiate coaching or playing experience, with an ability to recruit.
Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated organizational and time management skills; and the ability to effectively teach and coach lacrosse skills and strategy.
Certifications and Licenses: A valid driver's license that is in good standing is required.

Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with an intercollegiate athletic team.
Work is performed in a busy office, outdoor field instruction, and University setting. Travel is required.
