Description

Mens Soccer Part Time Assistant Coach position

  • Salary - $20,000 9 months
  • This would require the bulk of the work in the Fall semester during our competitive season.

Training schedule

  • We train Monday through Saturday with Sundays off every week.
  • Typically, the start of August are double day trainings where we train 7am-9am and 4pm-5:30pm Monday through Saturday for our preseason camp. Then once we start to approach our first game of the year, we trim trainings back to once a day from 4-5:30pm, with weights/recovery work mixed into it.

Game schedule

  • Our conference games are played on Thursday and Saturdays.
  • Preseason is always a little different as we are playing on mid-weekdays/nights, plus Saturdays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 2 years coaching experience.
  • 1-2 years college coaching -preferred.

Major Responsibilities/Duties

Job Duties

  • Help plan, organize, and run daily training sessions that align with the coaching philosophy.
  • Game day planning, sideline duties, setup/breakdown.
  • Breaking down game film into tactical/technical sessions for player/team development.
  • There are the occasional recruitment trips that we will take out to San Diego for surf Cup and out to Las Vegas for Mayors Cup. We will also be bouncing around club training sessions and games throughout the Fall semester to scout local instate talent from Utah.
  • Corresponding with international agencies and watching highlights of players to scout and recruit international talent across the globe. Texting and facetiming with players and parents to build relationships and find the right fit for our program.
  • Spring semesters are much slower for us as you are aware. Typically training 3-4 times per week with the occasional spring game mixed into the odd weekends. We are allowed to play on 6 dates for the spring semester in which we schedule games against NCAA D1 and NCAA D2 teams for the most part.
  • Spring semester I am open for you to work a little less with the college team for you to work with club/high school teams to supplement your yearly income.

Living Expenses

  • Housing - $900-$1,600 a month.

362 PART-TIME EMPLOYEE PRIVILEGES

April, 1997; Rev/May, 2000 (Effective July 1, 2000)

Definition.

A part-time adjunct faculty member is employed at less than 75% time annually and teaches at least one credit hour or more.

A part-time staff member is employed at less that 75% time annually. The employment time is three continuous months at an average of 15 hours a week.

Student hourly employees are exempt from the part-time privileges of this policy.

Privileges.

Upon authorization by the hiring department, part-time employees as defined under this policy will be issued a Snow College Part-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card at the time of hire. The card entitles the holder to all of the privileges associated with a Full-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card including, but not necessarily limited to, general admission or discounted prices for athletic and cultural events; Snow College library card issuance; computer network, Web, and e-mail access; bookstore sponsored discounts; and other discounts associated with the ID card at either campus. Supervisors have the right to terminate the privileges at any time during the fiscal year.

Non-inherent Privileges.

Privileges of full-time employees such as, but not necessarily limited to, college parties or gatherings, professional development activities, office/computer/telephone access, current expense budgets may be provided to part-time employees only at department discretion.
